Hitch Height
With the toolbar lowered completely to the
ground, the top of the toolbar should be level to
slightly titled back, up to 3 degrees, compared to
the axle of the machine, or a flat level ground
surface. Improper seed tube/row unit angle, and
poor seed placement, may result if this toolbar
setting is incorrect.
To adjust this the front hitch loop may be
removed and installed to a different set of mount
holes, in either a higher or lower position,
depending on tractor drawbar height. (See
pictures below and left.)
Row Unit MUST be level
In this example the toolbar is tipped forward.
The hitch loop must be installed in a lower set of
mount holes to raise the front hitch height, thus
tipping the rear toolbar back, correcting the
toolbar and row unit angle.

Shims of the toolbar hydraulic cylinders, for
raise/lower function of the toolbar, may also be
used for small adjustments. Shims may be
either added or removed for correcting
toolbar/row unit angle. (See picture below.)
On Maestro SW 2430 machines there is also
adjustment with the cylinder of the outer wing
gauge wheels. The provided Yellow 19mm
spacer is recommended to allow wheel support
and toolbar and row unit to be parallel to ground.
