Section Control
All Maestro models are equipped with section
control valves.
The section control valves are controlled with the
E-Manager. They turn on and off with the rows.
For more information, see the E-Manager
manual.
Section Control Valves
Each valve has a meter bypass dial that needs
to be set to insure pressure stability when
sections are shut off on the terminal. (Valves
have been set by the manufacturer)
To set the bypass dials:
1. Turn all dials to “0” position
2. Turn on all sections and note the
pressure on the pressure gauge.
3. Turn off section 1 on the terminal and
adjust the bypass dial so the pressure is
the same as before.
4. Repeat step 3 for all sections.
Entering the Quantity
The fertilizer quantity is controlled with the
control valve (3) through the E-Manager. To set
the quantity, go to the second work screen and
enter the gallons per acre you want to apply in
the rated value area.

Calibration
The calibration factor is set as a default value
from the manufacturer. The calibration factor is
the number of impulses received from the flow
meter per gallon. The valve will be around 170
for the standard flow meter.
This value may need to be adjusted depending
on the fertilizer being applied.
When you first start planting, fill the tank with a
known quantity of liquid. Plant until the known
quantity has been applied. Compare the value
shown in the results page with the actual quantity
applied.
If the quantity is off adjust the calibration factor
by the same percent the quantity is off by.
Example:
You plant a known quantity of 100 gallons and
the results say 98 gallons.
98 / 100 = 98%. If the calibration factor was 170,
170 / 98% = 173.4. Set the calibration factor to
173.
