Use in the field
¾
Activate the E-Manager.
Follow the associated operating instructions
for the settings on the E-Manager.
¾
perform calibration; refer to the operating
instructions for the E-Manager and the seed
wagon or another attached implement.
¾
Observe the notes in the following chapters
for the required settings on the fan as well as
the fertiliser coulters.
Working speed
The working speed depends on the field condi -
tions (soil type, crop residues etc.), the medium
to be placed, the desired placing quantity, coul -
ters and other factors.
NOTE
¾
Operate somewhat slower under difficult
conditions.
Headland
¾
Lift out the machine at the headland.
The DiscSystem and the tine field are lifted
via the hydraulic cylinders on the packer and
the support wheels.
Disc levelling is lifted as well.
¾
After turning at the headland lower the ma-
chine approx. 2 - 5 m in front of the seed bed
with the appropriate fan speed. The fertiliser
requires some time to flow from the metering
unit to the coulters.
¾
Accelerate uniformly and not too much during
lowering.
¾
Do not reduce the fan speed too early and
too far.
seed and fertiliser would remain otherwise in
the hoses and clog them.
The seed and fertiliser hoses are not moni-
tored by the E-Manager without seed flow
monitoring.
