Depth setting
WARNING
Risk of accident from unauthorised starting of
the tractor and triggering of machine move-
ments.
¾
Shut off the tractor before any adjustment
work on the machine and secure it against
reactivation. Lock manual control units in the
locked position.
The working depth is determined by inserting
aluminium clips on the cylinders of the packers
and the support wheels.
Hydraulic cylinders for depth setting
Basic setting
1. Turn the switch-over ball valve
Field/Road
to
Field
.
2.
Park the machine on a firm and level surface.
3. Lower the machine carefully with the coulter
tips to the ground.
The tine field must be aligned horizontally to
the ground.
4. Fill up the piston rods of the hydraulic cylin-
ders on the packer, on the front axle and the
support wheels with the same number and
colour combination of aluminium clips.
5. Fully raise the DiscSystem.
This completes the basic setting of the machine.
The working depth is now approximately 0 cm.
Tine field depth setting
1. Starting with the basic position, remove alu-
minium clips from the hydraulic cylinders on
the packer and the support wheels until the
desired working depth has been reached.
¾
Remove the same number and colour com-
bination of aluminium clips on all cylinders
at this.
•
The ratio of aluminium clips to working depth
on the front axle is approx. 1:3.3. Remov-
ing one aluminium clip with 1 cm thickness
equals approx. 3.3 cm deeper working depth,
depending on the soil.
•
The ratio of aluminium clips to working depth
on the packer cylinders and on the cylinder
of the drawbar is approx. 1:5. Removing one
aluminium clip with 1 cm thickness equals ap
-
prox. 5 cm deeper working depth, depending
on the soil.
2. Lower the machine with pressure onto the
aluminium clips.
3.
Switch the control unit to the floating position
when working in the field.
¾
Check the working quality of the tine field in
the field and correct the setting, if required.
