Adjusting the deflector rail
The deflector rail increases the crumbling ef
-
fect of dry soils and levels the soil in front of the
packer roller.
The efficiency of the packer is increased on
sandy soils.
The height of the deflector rail can be adjusted.
The segments are each suspended on two
racks.

Secure the tractor against rolling away, secure
the control units and switch off the PTO-shaft.
¾
Position the ring spanner (size 19) on the
hexagon shaft (1).
¾
Remove the bolts (2) on both ends of the
shaft.
¾
Adjust the height of the deflector rail by turning
the hexagon shaft.
Turn the shaft so that the bolts can be in-
serted.
¾
Insert the bolts (2) on the rack and secure
each of them with a cotter pin.
¾
Adjust both deflector rails to the same height
(position of the bolts).
NOTE
¾
Adjust the deflector rail so that the dam of soil
created in front of it has approximately half
the height of the rail.
The working depth is correct, when the thrown
up soil hits the bar but still has enough space
to flow under the bar to the roller.
