PTO-shaft/propshaft guard

No adapter or similar that interferes with the

function of the protective features on PTO shaft

or propshafts may be installed.

The PTO-shaft guard on the tractor side must

extend beyond the stub ends on PTO-shaft and

adapter by at least 85 mm (6/21 grooves) or

100 mm (20 grooves).

Working length

Working length of propshaft

Strive to achieve maximum overlap. During op-

eration the propshaft must only be extended by

half the tube connection overlap Pu that exists

in the pushed together condition Lz.

The working length of the propshaft depends

on the distance between the drive shaft on the

tractor and the lifting point (A) and the distance

between both drive shafts (B).

The lifting gear geometry and the min./max. dis-

tance over the entire lifting distance is decisive

for the length of the propshaft.

NOTE

When changing tractors, be sure to check the

length of the propshaft; adjust or replace it,

if necessary! It must neither be too long nor

too short.

Appendix

as well as the operating instructions

for the propshaft.

Cam shut-down clutch

The propshaft is equipped with a cam shut-down

clutch. Regarding assembly/disassembly and
