Checks
NOTE
¾
Drilling must be checked when starting work
and, in case of larger fields also regularly in
between!
The working quality essentially depends on the
adjustments and checks made prior to and dur-
ing use, as well as on regular care and mainte-
nance of the machine.
¾
Carry out all maintenance tasks and adjust-
ments before starting to work.
Machine
¾
Have the hydraulic lines been connected
without being mixed up by mistake?
¾
Has the machine been levelled in working
position and the drilling depth correctly ad-
justed?
Cultivation tools
¾
Are rotors, other cultivation tools and auxiliary
equipment still in a serviceable condition?
¾
Are all cultivation tools adjusted correctly?
¾
Has the machine been levelled in working
position?
¾
Has the drilling depth been set correctly?
Blockage of the rotors
The rotors may block in very stony ground or
solid obstacles. In this case the cam shut-down
clutch will prevent components from being dam-
aged.
The entire drive train is interrupted when the
cam shut-down clutch responds.
Procedure:
¾
Uncouple the PTO-shaft of the tractor.
¾
Reduce the speed of the PTO-shaft.
¾
Pull the machine out of the ground.
¾
Switch on the tractor PTO-shaft.
The cam shut-down clutch switches automati-
cally on again.
NOTE
¾
Do not switch on the cam shut-down clutch
again by simply reducing the PTO-shaft
speed. The clutch would otherwise wear out
prematurely and be destroyed.
¾
Remove the blockage manually if it cannot be
rectified by reducing the speed.
For this purpose shut down the engine and
pull out the ignition key!
