5-1 Cleaning the Book Block Path

Open the left safety cover.

Clean the milling section.

- If there are paper chips, remove them using a

vacuum cleaner.

- If the cutter cover does not return quickly to

the original position when sliding it to the right
and releasing, there are paper chips under the
cover links. Remove the paper chips. If the
cutter cover does not move smoothly, paper
chips may be scattered heavily.

Close the left safety cover.

Press the

button (Carriage

Clamp Move) on the Single Opera-

tion Screen Part 1.

- Press both Start buttons twice. The carriage

clamp closes by first press and clamp rail
raises. Then the carriage clamp will move to
the right and stop by second press.

Press the Emergency Stop button

and clean the level plate mecha-

nism.

- If there are paper chip, remove them using a

vacuum cleaner.

Turn the Emergency Stop button

clockwise to release.

Press the

button (Carriage

Clamp Move) on the Single Opera-

tion Screen Part 1.

- Press both Start buttons twice. The carriage

clamp will move back to the left side by first
press. Then the clamp rail lowers by second
press and carriage clamp opens.

5. Maintenance

WARNING

Do not touch the melt tank. The melt tank is
heated to 200 degrees Celsius (400 Fahren-
heit), and may cause severe skin burns.
Do not touch the milling and the roughen-
ing cutters. These can cause severe per-
sonal injury.
