Entering the Job Information Using the Setting Screens
- Milling and Nipping Screen
Turn the milling operation ON or OFF.
: Milling ON : Milling OFF
- If the milling set lever is set incorrectly, an error message screen will
appear.
- When Milling OFF is selected, the “Insert Shim” message appears.
Insert the shims, referring to the message screen and [4-7] on page 59.
: 2-1
Select this when doing milling. The nipper raises, then closes.
: 2-2
Select this when nipping without milling. The nipper closes as it raises to pre-
vent the spine from swelling.
If this mode is selected when the milling operation is done, the spine
will become round.
: 2-3
Select this when binding without cover sheets. The nipper will not operate. The
machine will wait until the glue on the spine hardens, then the booklet will be
delivered.
