4-8 Glue Temperature Adjustment

The glue will perform best if is heated to the correct
temperature. Adjust the glue temperature according to
the type of glue which is being used.

Adjust the glue temperature using
the glue temperature adjusting
knob.

The best temperature for Horizon type
HM-220 Hot Melt glue is 180 degrees
Celsius (350 Fahrenheit).

- Use the temperature scale shown
above just for reference. The glue tem-
perature changes depending on the
room temperature.
- Use a thermometer in the melt tank to
make an accurate check of the glue
temperature.

Measure the glue temperature when the
application drum are rotating.
If there are not enough glue, the measured
temperature tends to become low. Fill the
glue so that the thermometer soaks into
the glue by 40 mm (1.57”).
