5. PRE-OPERATION CHECK
Check the snow thrower on level ground with the engine stopped.
To prevent accidental start-up, remove the engine switch key before
performing the pre-operation check.
Before each use, look around and underneath the engine for signs of
oil or gasoline leaks.
Fuel
Inspection:
Check whether the fuel gauge needle is in the FULL position.
If the needle is not in the position, fill the fuel tank to the level shown.
Refilling:
Use unleaded gasoline with a Research Octane Number of 91 or higher
(a Pump Octane Number of 86 or higher).
Never use gasoline that is stale, contaminated, or mixed with oil. Avoid
getting dirt or water in the fuel tank.
Remove the fuel filler cap and fill the tank with the recommended gasoline.
Do not fill the fuel tank completely. Fill tank to approximately 35 mm (1.4 in)
below the top of the fuel filler neck to allow for fuel expansion.
After refueling, make sure the fuel filler cap is closed properly and securely.
