1. Remove the battery cable, the coolant reservoir, and the intake air duct.
Remove this
6 mm bolt from
the battery
cable holder.
Disconnect the intake
air duct from the air
cleaner, and set it aside.
Remove the coolant
reservoir from the battery
tray, and set it aside.
Disconnect the
negative (--) cable
from the battery.
Prepare to install the evaporator.
2. Remove the center console cover and dashboard lower cover.
HOOK-SHAPED TOOL
Remove the lower dashboard cover by carefully
pulling down on the lower left-hand corner to
release this clip first. Release the remaining clips
by pulling on the lower dashboard cover.
Remove the passenger’s
under-dash fuse/relay
box cover.
Remove these
two screws.
Remove this screw.
Remove the center console
cover by releasing the four
clips. Use a 90-degree
hook-shaped tool to release
the bottom clips first, then
pull on the cover to release
the top clips.
