9.11.1 SMOOTHING
Smoothing:
The smoothing function applies an N number of points as a sliding-average
algorithm to compute the smoothing curve. The user enters an odd value for the number of
Points. If an even number is entered, the application will round up to the next odd number to
apply the curve.
9.11.2 SPUR DISPLAY
Spurs greater than the set threshold are always recorded in the spur table/report, regardless of the
spur display setting. The spur threshold is relative to the smoothed data trace. The smoothed trace
is computed in the background if Smoothing is not enabled by the user.
Normal
Spur Display will not remove any spurs from a trace.
Remove
will remove any spurs from the trace that are greater than the set threshold.
Scale to dBc
will convert spurs amplitude value from dBc/Hz to dBc.

: When spurs are set to

a small '+' character will appear on
the trace at the location of the spur. This is to indicate where raw data has been
changed.
