 Remove the rear protective cover of the saw arm. To do this, loosen and remove all
screws.
 Now you can carefully remove the old saw band. Use cut-resistant gloves for this.
 When inserting the new saw band, first insert it through the roller/bearings of the saw
band guide. Then place the saw band cover the two saw band wheels.
 ATTENTION: Make sure to insert the new saw band in the correct direction! Remember in
which direction the teeth of the old saw band point!
 Now tension the saw band with the hand wheel.
 Turn the saw band wheel by hand and check the tracking of the saw band!
 Replace the protective cover of the saw arm.
 Put the saw band guide back in its original position.
 Check the safety microswitch is activated otherwise when electric connection will be
restored the machine will not start.
NOTICE: always use saw bands specified in this manual!
17.5 Gear oil change
N O T I C E
Waste oils are toxic and must not be allowed to enter the
environment! If necessary, contact the local authorities for
information on proper disposal.
The gearbox requires a periodic oil change. The oil must be changed up to the first 6 months after
a new machine has been put into operation and every year thereafter.
The following steps are necessary to change
the gear oil:
 Bring the saw arm to its uppermost position.
 Wait a few minutes until the oil has
deposited.
 Loosen the Allen screw (1) at the bottom of
the gear box and drain the old gear oil into a
suitable container.
 Refit the Allen screw (1) as soon as the gear
oil has been drained completely.
 Loosen the vent screw (2) on the top of the
gearbox and fill in new gear oil (amount of
gear oil and recommended oil-type please
refer to technical data).

Improper storage can damage and destroy important components. Only store packed
or unpacked parts under the intended environmental conditions !
When not in use, store the machine in a dry, frost-proof and lockable place to prevent the
formation of rust on the one hand and to ensure that unauthorised persons and in particular
children have no access to the machine on the other.
