4. Press the
LATTE/CLEAN
button once and let the appliance perform the brewing pro-
cess with water only, until it stops automatically
Cleaning the water / milk container
1. Remove the water / milk container from the appliance and empty it.
2. Carefully wash the container and its lid under running water with some mild detergent.
3. When washing the milk container lid, make sure the hose connector has been carefully
washed and rinsed several times.
4. Remove the hose and the milk frothing nozzle from the container.
5. Leave till completely dry.
Cleaning the milk nozzle
1. Install the empty milk container in the appliance.
2. Place an empty cup or mug under the milk nozzle.
3. Press and hold the
Latte
button for about 3 seconds. The appliance will start produ-
cing steam in order to clean the milk nozzle. Let the appliance work for several se-
conds until clean steam with no milk residues is ejected into the cup.
4. Press the
Latte
button to stop the appliance.

Removing scale from the water / milk containers
Depending on water hardness and usage frequency, a de-scaling procedure should be per-
formed on the appliance once every 2-3 months.
If soft or filtered water is used, descaling after every 80 cycles is recommended.
If hard water is used, descaling after every 40 cycles is recommended.
1. Fill the water container with fresh, non-diluted vinegar or with a 1:1 mixture of vinegar
and water.
2.
Leave overnight. The container should be filled at least to a level exceeding the minimum
level marked thereon.
3. Empty the container by means of pouring the vinegar or the vinegar and water mixture
into a sink.
4. Wash the container as described in
Cleaning the water / milk container section
- repeat
the cleaning twice or more times if needed.
a) Internal parts
1. Descale the container before you start descaling the internal parts of the appliance.
2. Make sure the appliance is turned off and disconnected from the mains.
3. Fill the milk container with vinegar above the minimum level.
4.
Install the portafilter with an empty filter and place a cup/mug under the coffee outlet.
5. Connect the appliance to an electric socket and turn the appliance on. Select the do-
uble Cappuccino program. The appliance will start drawing vinegar and commence
the descaling process.
6. The appliance will turn off automatically after the descaling process is completed.
