Filling the filter basket with coffee
1. Fill the small filter basket with ground coffee. Tamp the coffee with the tam -
per. Add some if necessary. Tamp the coffee again. The amount of coffee in
the filter basket is equal to about 7 g or a flat measure of coffee.
2. Fill the large filter basket with ground coffee. Tamp the coffee with the tam -
per. Add some if necessary. Tamp the coffee again. The amount of coffee in
the filter is equal to about 14 g or two flat measures of coffee.
ATTENTION! Coffee tamping is a very important part of the process of making
coffee with a coffee machine.
If coffee is tamped too much – it will brew slowly, and more foam will be produced.
If coffee is less compacted – it will brew quickly, and less foam will be produced.
7.6 Placing the cup on the dripping tray and selecting a suitable cup
The dripping grill may be installed on the dripping tray with its concave or convex
surface directed upwards.
Its setting should depend on the capacity of the cup, as well as on the distance
from the upper edge of the cup to the coffee outlet nozzles. The edge of the cup
should be located as close as possible to the outlets.
