8. HANDLING OF ACCESSORIES
Measuring cup
The “CUP” unit of measure mentioned in the recipe means a full 240 ml cup, as shown in
the picture below.
1. Measuring of liquid ingredients: when measuring liquid ingredients out, the cup should be
placed on a flat surface and the filling level checked at the sight level (not under an angle).
When adding eggs, milk or other liquids, first place them in the cup and then add water in
the amount specified in the recipe (e.g. total volume of liquid should be the same as in the
recipe, but the amount of water will be decreased).
2. Measuring of loose ingredients: measure liquid ingredients in the cup and gently shake
it to level the ingredients and read the amount. Do not shake the cup too strongly and too
long. Otherwise the powder will be too compact and the measured amount will be greater
than in the recipe.
Measuring spoon: a table spoon and a tea spoon used for measuring.
The tea spoon is used for measuring yeast and salt.
The table spoon is used for measuring sugar and oil.
Hook: used for removing the kneading hook from bread.
Hook
Sometimes when removing the bread, the stirrer may be stuck inside. It should be removed
by pulling it with the hook.
