7.18 Fix
Function
Image Fix function can be used when extracting only the fine ruggedness on the curved wide
surface and observing the specimen. It is also effective for observing the tilted surface as a
flat surface.
Image Fix is used when correcting all aspect of view displayed in the image view. Profile Fix
is used when correcting the profile displayed in the profile view.
Image Fix corrects the height of arbitrary three or nine positions on the image view in order to
set the position where the height is 0.
NOTE
: Fix function is effective to make ruggedness information easy to observe. Use Flat
function on the [Calibration] block to calibrate the distortion and inclination caused
by the sensitivity of the BSE detector, or the tilted specimen stage. Use Z function
to calibrate the gap between the actual specimen structure height and the
specimen height measured by 3D-Image Viewer.
See 7.22 Calibration of 3D Measurement.
See 7.22 Calibration of 3D Measurement.
NOTE
: When releasing the Fix or importing another image or finishing the 3D-Image
Viewer, the value of the height corrected by the Fix function is canceled. Even if
the image that used Fix function is imported again, former setting is not
reproduced. To reproduce the state of Fix function of the image, select the Save As
from [File] menu and save the data with the RD5 format file for 3D-Image Viewer.
7.18.1 Image Fix 3 points
This function corrects the height of arbitrary three positions on the image view in order to set
the standard position where the height is 0 µm.
1.
Select the [3 point] radio button from the [Image Fix] block and click the [Fix] button.
