4-6 Connecting the Computer Cables
Connecting the Fax
When the printer is configured with a fax option, there are two phone jacks
on the I/O plate at the rear of the printer. The jacks are labeled LINE and
PHONE.
To connect the fax:
1. Make sure the printer power is off.
2. Using the telephone cord provided in the printer shipaway kit or
option kit, plug one end into the jack labeled LINE and the other into
the telephone wall socket.
3.
Plug the cord from your telephone into the jack labeled PHONE.
NOTE
:
Using the fax printer on any phone line with a call-waiting
feature is not recommended.
