plastic parts. Always clean up spilled fluid

Use only the designed quality brake fluid

otherwise, the rubber seals may 
deteriorate, causing leakage and poor 
brake performance.

Refill with the same type of brake fluid: 

mixing fluids may result in a harmful
chemical reaction and lead to poor 
performance.

Be careful that water does not enter th

e

master cylinder when refilling. Water w

ill

significantly lower the boiling point of th

e

fluid and may result in a vapor lock.

CHECKING THE FRONT BRAKE PADS

Wear indicator groove

Replace the brake pads as a set. 
Refer to “FRONT AND REAR BRAKES” in 
chapter 5. 

 

Brake pad wear limit

3. Operate the brake pedal.
