Installation

The devices have been developed for practical application in a harsh 
industrial environment.
On delivery, the device is ready for operation.

Perform the following steps to install and configure the device:

Checking the package contents

Installing the SD card (optional)

Mounting a dummy panel or a media module

Installing and grounding the device

Installing an SFP transceiver (optional)

Connecting the terminal blocks

Operating the device

Connecting data cables

Filling out the inscription label

Checking the package contents

Proceed as follows:

Check whether the package includes all items named in the section 

“Scope of delivery” on page 62

.

Check the individual parts for transport damage.

2.2

Installing the SD card (optional)

Note: 

Only use the AutoConfiguration Adapter ACA31 storage medium.

See “Accessories” on page 63.

Proceed as follows:

Deactivate the write protection on the SD card by pushing the write-
protect lock towards the middle of the card.

Push the SD card into the slot with the beveled corner facing upwards.

Tighten the thumb screw hand-tight to fix the SD card.
