REMOVE THE LEVER.

(1)

Remove the lever assembly.

IMPORTANT POINTS - ASSEMBLY

NOTICE
Reverse the order of disassembly to reassemble the starter.

LUBRICATION

(1)

Before reassembling, apply the recommended grease to the following:
[Apply Nippondenso No. HL50 grease (Shin-nisseki U3311 grease)]
or equivalent.

IMPORTANT POINTS - INSPECTION

NOTICE
These tests must be performed within 3 to 5 seconds to avoid burning
out the coil.

PERFORM NO-LOAD PERFORMANCE TEST.

(1)

Connect battery and ammeter to the starter as shown.

(2)

Check that the starter rotates smoothly and steadily with the pinion
gear moving out. Check the reading on the ammeter.

220 A or less/11 V
