Ausbreiten und Befestigen des Zeltes

Breite das Zelt aus und kontrolliere, dass die Heringsschlaufen an den
Absiden so lang wie möglich sind.

Bei starkem Wind ist es ratsam eine Abspann-
leine an einem schweren Gegenstand (z. B. Rucksack) zu befestigen.

Spanne die dem Wind zugewandte Abside zuerst ab.
Achte darauf, dass die
Heringe in den Metallringen sitzen.

Die Heringe sollten so tief wie möglich in den Boden gesetzt werden. Der beste
Winkel ist zirka 45°. So können sie sich bei starkem Wind nicht lösen. Sollte es
schwer sein, die Heringe tief in den Boden zu setzen, ist es ratsam, die Heringe in
einem Winkel kleiner als 45° zu setzen.

Sollte der Boden zu hart sein, nehme einen Stein o. ä. zur Hilfe.

Lay out the tent, and set the adjustable peg attachment points to their
longest settings.

Especially in windy conditions, use a guy line to secure the
tent to a backpack or other heavy item so it cannot blow away.

Peg one vestibule (if it is windy, peg that vestibule aimed into the wind).
When
pegging all the corners, make sure to put the peg through the metal ring.

Press the pegs completely into the ground at about a 45° angle to the surface
of the ground so that they won’t get pulled up in strong winds. It is better to use
a steeper angle than it is to leave a peg sticking up from the ground.

If it is hard to get the pegs in, use a rock or other hard object to press – or
if necessary, to lightly hammer – them into the ground.

Lägg ut tältet och kontrollera att absidernas markpinnefästen är i sitt
längsta läge.

Vid hård vind bind en tältlina i ett tungt föremål.

Förankra den absid som vetter mot vinden.
Observera att mark-pinnen skall
fästas i metallringen.

Markpinnarna skall tryckas ner helt och hållet i 45 gr vinkel. Om detta ej görs
är det risk för att de dras upp ur marken i hård vind. Om det är svårt att få ner
pinnen är det bättre att skjuta ner den med spetsigare vinkel än att lämna en bit
av pinnen ovan mark.

Om marken är hård, använd en sten eller liknande för att pressa eller
knacka ner pinnen.
