The

Main Screen

consists of four quadrants, each of which displays different information:

The

upper left quadrant

 shows the measured pressure.

The

lower left quadrant

shows the calculated force based on the measured pressure and the

effective area of the selected jack.

The

upper right quadrant

shows an image of an analog gauge showing the measured pressure.

The

lower right quadrant

shows whichever jack the user selects.

6.2.1.3

 Calibration

You can calibrate your unit if the load produced at the jack differs from the load calculated by

multiplying the measured pressure by the effective area of the selected jack. To do this, have a

professional calibrator perform the process.

The calibrator should begin at the

Main Screen

 and press the

CAL

button (far right) to access the

Calibration Screen

. The upper left of the

Calibration Screen

 shows the

calculated force

 (the value

displayed based on the measured pressure and the effective area of the selected jack). The upper right

corner will show the

modified

 or

calibrated force

.

The calibration process allows six points to be entered. The first point is always

0,0

 but the calibrator

selects the other five points as needed.

The calibration procedure is as follows:

[1.]

Set the machine to the first calibration point.

[2.]

Enter the current calculated value (in the top left corner) into the

Calculated Value

 column.

[3.]

Enter the real measured force value into the

Gauge Value

column. (All values must be in

lbs

.)

CAUTION

Each point must be larger than the previous numbered point, beginning at Point 5.

(e. g. Point 5 must be larger force than Point 4, Point 4 must be larger force than Point 3, etc.).

Any value above Point 5 will use the same scaling slope as the last segment.

INFORMATION

The default units are

psi

 and

lbs. force

, but you can change the default to SI units by using the buttons

at the bottom of the display. To do so, press the button below the word

UNIT

 and follow the prompts

on the screen.
