Introduction
About this document
These instructions describe the assembly, wiring and tubing of the components of
an automatic module, type Hei-VOLUME Distimatic Pro on large-scale rotary evapo-
rators of the type Hei-VAP Industrial (Part A) and on rotary evaporators of the type
Hei-VAP Expert and Hei-VAP Ultimate (Part B).
Typographic conventions
Standardized symbols, highlighting elements, and signal words are used in this docu-
ment to identify warnings, cautions, important information, and special text contents.
Symbol Signal word / explanatory note
Warning symbols in combination with a signal word indicate
dangers:
DANGER
Indicates an immediate dangerous situation which, if not avoided,
will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
Indicates a potential danger which, if not avoided, may result in
death or serious injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a potential hazard which, if not avoided, damage to prop-
erty and minor to moderate injuries can occur.
Mandatory signs are used to indicate important and useful informa-
tion on handling a product.
This information is used to ensure operational safety and to main-
tain the value of the product.

The arrow symbol indicates instructions to be followed in order to
ensure the operational safety when handling the product.
