B. Clearances to Combustibles
When selecting a location for the appliance it is important to
consider the required clearances to walls (see Figure 3.2).
WARNING! Risk of Fire or Burns!
Provide adequate
clearance around air openings and for service access. Due
to high temperatures, the appliance should be located out of
traffic and away from furniture and draperies.
NOTICE:

drawn to scale. Actual installation may vary due to individual
design preference.
NOTICE:
Some carpet materials may be sensitive to radiant
heat from the appliance causing discoloration or odor.

C. Hearth Extension/Floor Protection
CAUTION! Risk of Fire or Injury!
Install appliance on
a stable, level, platform or floor strong enough to support
appliance without tipping.
A non-combustible hearth pad is not required. However,
the floor beneath the appliance must be stable, level, and
strong enough to support the appliance without a tipping
hazard. It is permissible to place the appliance on carpet.
Combustible flooring may be located in front of the appliance.
See Figure 3.4 for vinyl flooring recommendations.
Alcove Installation
Note:
Dimensions are minimums as shown and may not be typical for all applications. An alcove installation is
shown above on left.
*To remove the fan from the back of the appliance clearance to the wall should be increased to *B and *C to allow
back panel of the cabinet to be removed. The fan may be removed from front of appliance. See Insert Installation
Manual.
