• Secure and fasten the workpiece to be sawn
with suitable screw clamps or other suitable
fasteners and stops, on a stable and non-
slip work surface. Never hold the workpiece
with your hand and / or against your body!
There is a risk that you will not be able to
control the tool and of serious damage to
health, that can result in serious injury or
even death.
• Never reach into the working area of the saw
and never touch the workpiece from below!
Keep your hands away from the sawing
area. There is a risk of injury on contact with
the saw blade.
• Hold the HAZET cordless reciprocating saw
with both hands when working and always
maintain a safe and balanced position dur-
ing operation.
• To avoid injury, guide the saw against the
workpiece only when switched on. There is
a risk of kickback if the inserted saw blade
gets stuck in the workpiece.
3. Dangers that may arise
from using the tool
Check the full functionality of the HAZET cord-
less reciprocating saw before each use. Do not
use the reciprocating saw if its functionality
cannot be ensured or if damage is detected. If
the reciprocating saw is used when it is not in
full working order, there is risk of severe injuries
to persons and damage to property.
Electric energy may cause serious injuries. The
following fundamental safety instructions must
be observed and adhered to in order to avoid
electric shock, injuries or fire:
• The connecting cables and housing must
not be damaged. Tools/chargers that have
been dropped or damaged must be checked
by qualified personnel before being used
again.
• Never use tools with a defective on/off
switch. Any tools that cannot be switched on
or off with the On/Off switch are dangerous
and must be repaired.
• The cables must not touch hot or sharp
parts or become damaged in any other way.
The cables must be laid in such a way that
they do not present a tripping hazard.
• The charger and reciprocating saw must
not be exposed to water or other liquids.
Dangerous voltage discharge may occur.
• Keep any unused rechargeable batteries
away from metallic objects such as paper
clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, etc. These
objects can establish a connection between
the poles and cause a short-circuit, which
can cause sparks, flames or fires.
