Quick-release
CAUTION
Risk of accident and injury!
If you cannot judge the correct position of the quick-
release, the seat post may not be correctly secured. The
seat could twist around or sink down unexpectedly.
• Use the quick-release only if you have the required
expertise to judge its correct position.
• Request an explanation of the operation and adjust-
ment of the quick-release from your specialist dealer.
CAUTION
Risk of injury!
If you operate the quick-release incorrectly, you may trap
your finger.
• Open and close the quick-release slowly and carefully.
Depending on your bicycle model, a quick-release is installed
as a seat post clamp to adjust the seat height.
• Verify whether your bicycle is equipped with a quick-release
(see
Figure H-9
and the chapter “Bicycle passport”).
