9 UNPACKAGING AND PREPARATION FOR
SETTING UP
Take the greatest care on unpacking the machine in order to avoid the
risk of danger to persons or things. The machine is packed in a box with
the driving plough tails lowered and the cutter unit disconnected.
10 CHECKS BEFORE STARTING UP
The drive plough tails can be adjusted in height and can also be positioned
sideways.
For height adjustment disconnect the fixture lever (re. A - fig. 6) and
position the plough tails to the required height, then lock the fixture lever
in position.
For sideways positioning release the plough tail unit using the click lever
(re. B - fig. 6), and then shift the plough tails to the right or the left, until
they match up with the relative hole, release the click lever so that the pin
enters the hole.
As the plough tails must be rotated by 180° in order to permit the use of
the motorized cultivator with other accessories (i.e. mowing bar), proceed
as follows:
1. remove the split pins which secure the control rods of the gear and
the pto, then remove the levers
2. release the plough tail unit by means of a special click lever, and
then rotate it by 180°
3. release the click lever so that the pin enters the relative hole
4. re-insert the rods securing them with the special split pins
11 APPLIANCE ASSEMBLY
For the assembly of the working appliance it is firstly necessary to press
the click lever of the snap couplings (re. A - fig. 7), insert the appliance
into the PTO, release the click lever and then gently shake the device in
order to facilitate its locking by means of the special pin.
