Name Edit
This option permits you to select a combination of any five letters, numbers and symbols to designate each of the eight
input sources connected to the 7.0. To provide a starting point, each input shipped from the factory with a preset
name. You will see these names appear on the status messages that appear on the front panel and on screen
displays whenever you change an input. A list of the preset names also appears on the Factory Preset chart in
Appendix #xx.
To change the input name, start from the “Source Edit” menu. Press “
Ð
“ until the on screen pointer is next to the
“Name Edit” line (figure #xx). Press “Select” to move to the next menu.
The current preset name will appear on screen, with a “
×
“ pointer under the first letter. Use the “
Ï
“ and “
Ð
“ buttons to
scroll through the available letters, numbers and symbols. When the correct information is entered for the first space,
press “
Î
“ to move the cursor to the next space. Again, use the “
Ï
“ and “
Ð
“ buttons to scroll through the available
letters, numbers and symbols.
Continue to move through the spaces, pressing “
Î
“ to move to the pointer to next space. If you make an error and
need to move back, simply press “
Í
“ to move the pointer back as many spaces as required.
When you have entered the desired name, press “Exit/OK” to enter the setting and return to the previous menu.
This completes the setup for any input. When the 7.0 is installed for the first time, it may be necessary to repeat the
steps for all options in this master menu for each source.
Press “Exit/OK” when the setup is complete to return to normal operation.
Projection Screen Configuration
The menus in this section control the action of a projection screen, theater curtain, automatic blinds, or any other
devices that are connected to the “Trigger 2” output on the rear panel. When properly configured, this output
automatically activates external devices in a specific way when a particular input is selected.
NOTE:
If your system is custom installed, and has already been programmed for custom operation of a
projection screen or other devices that are automatically controlled by the 7.0, the menus described in this section will
not appear as part of the on screen displays for your unit. This does not indicate an error or problem with the system.
Rather, it indicates that a new control structure has been put installed to replace the factory options. The normal
“Projection Screen” menus do not appear to protect against accidental re-programming and the costs associated with
restoring a custom installation. If these menus do not appear, make certain that your dealer and installer have
provided you with the information necessary to understand the way that the 7.0 controls automatic devices in your
particular installation.
NOTE:
Programming of the triggers and their connection to external devices is a complex task. In some cases
specialized optional interfaces may be required for operation of the external device. To insure that the connections and
programming are done properly, we strongly recommend that Citation dealer or specially trained custom installer make
these connections. The Citation Warranty does not cover any damage to external devices that may be caused by
incorrect connections or device programming.
