Menu Driven Controls
In some cases, multiple functions or conditions are grouped together for ease of access. These may be functions that
are used only once, to set-up the 7.0, or they may be a group of conditions that define a mode.
Menu functions are controlled by buttons indicated with an “M” on the diagram of the remote control on page
#xx.
Menu driven controls are accessed by pressing the button once to display a status screen. This shows the current
status of all settings controlled within the specific menu. If you wish to change one of the items on the menu press the
“Select” button to bring up the “edit” menu. Next, use the down arrow (
Ð
) button to move to the condition you wish to
change. When the on screen arrow is pointing to the item to be changed, press “select” again. If there are no further
menus, follow the instructions as to how to make the required change.
In some cases, you will see a right pointing carat (>) at the end of the line. This indicates that there is an additional
sub-menu where choices are made using the directional arrow buttons. As with the first menu, press the “select”
button to move to these additional menu choices. At this point there are more menu selections or a list of choices. If
there is another menu, use the arrow keys to move the cursor next to the desired choice and press “select”.
When you reach the menu where a change is made, use the up and down arrow keys (“
Ï
“/”
Ð
“) to move the on screen
arrow to the desired selection. Then, press the “Select” button to confirm the choice. Your choice is confirmed as you
see the solid cursor block (“
“) move next to the selection. If the selection is correct, use the “Exit/OK” button to move
to the prior menu or exit.
When navigating though a menu, follow the instructions at the bottom of the screen. In most cases, you will use the
navigational buttons to select a feature, the select button to chose it, and the “Exit/OK” button to confirm your choice or
exit to the previous menu screen.
Note: If you are using only the two line display to make changes or alter settings, the top line will display the top level
menu being adjusted. The bottom line will show the available choice. Use the up or down arrows on the remote to
scroll through the available choices in the menu. A right pointing carat (“>“) indicates that there are additional choices
to be made within that menu. Use the Up/Down navigational arrow buttons to scroll to the item you wish to select.
Each time you see the “>“, use the arrows to find the desired selection or condition. Then there is no “>“, use the
up/down arrows one more time to make your final selection. When the desired choice appears, press the “Select”
button to make the choice. You will see an “*” appear at the far left side of the bottom line to confirm that your selection
has been entered. Press “Exit/OK” to move back to the previous menu, or to exit. (figures here to follow the flow of the
information in the paragraph)
