The tru bolts are best for maximum strength and are used on our 4T hoists, loxons are used
where ease of column movement is required.
Make sure you measure the outside diameter of your tru bolt or loxon to verify the size
hole required. The bolt must fit tightly in the hole drilled for maximum strength.
Use a high quality masonry bit ( the quad tip style not the flat blade style) that matches the size in
the kit. Check the size of your anchor bolt this before purchasing your bit and do a test hole to
confirm it is a neat fit. Bunnings sell good drills and bits at the price of hiring similar
.
Limit switch wiring
The pump assembly can be used with a limit switch as an option, it has a connector for this
similar to the one shown below. The electrical wiring notes tell you to disable this by connecting
(bridging) these two wires. The pump will not run unless these wires are joined. To add a limit
switch run a 3 core electrical lead ( these two wires plus earth) to the limit switch. Further
instructions are provided in the electrical section of this document. A 4amp inline fuse must be
installed into the wiring to the limit switch. HAPP have inline fuse holders and limit switches if you
require them.
Balance valve location
The pictures in this manual show this unit mounted above the pump assembly, some versions of
this hoist have the valance valve mounted on the opposite side (behind) the motor. Follow the
configuration setup detailed in section 8 for proper balance valve setup and operation.
Safety first - ALWAYS
You are responsible for installation, maintenance and safe operation of the hoist and any
workplace health and safety obligations. Make sure you follow all safety tips in this manual and
from referenced sources with particular focus on:
•
Keep clear of the hoist and vehicle when raising and lowering.
•
Hydraulics are for lifting / lowering only, never work on a raised vehicle unless all safety
latches are engaged
•
Ensure you have a regular maintenance program in place.
•
Ensure you check and maintain all lift components and understand operating procedures
before operation.
•
Ensure operators read this manual before operation and review it on a regular basis.
