9.2. Inlet pipe
The minimum gradient is 3%. The inlet pipe must enter the upper part of the pit. For this purpose, a curved
inlet or impact plate must be used.
9.3. Pressure line
The pressure line should be made of a plastic pipe.

The installation depth must be at least 100 cm. Under
no circumstances must the installation depth fall short of
this distance (frost-resistance).
Entry into the trench must be directly from the rolls. In case of under-
ground crossing of streets and squares, embedding of the pipes with
sand or casing of the pipes with a guard tube is indispensable. When
crossing cultivated land, this is not necessary. Depending on the type of
soil, the pressure line can be laid by means of a trench cutting machine,
a trenching plough, hand-digging, or with a shovel.
The pressure line must go all the way to the pit. The trench for the pressure line must remain open at least 3
meters before the pit to ensure that the service technician can put the pressure line into the pit.
ATTENTION
If the outlet (pressure line) is lower than the switch-off level, a ventilation valve must be
installed at the highest point. This measure prevents emptying of the pit.
To ensure proper installation of the pipe, we recommend that you consult an engineer who
can provide advice and support with planning and implementation.
9.4. Pumps and controls
ATTENTION
Pumps and control must be installed only by a specialist.
ATTENTION
The cable must not be exposed to any tension. The cable must be slack at all times. The
cable end must never be in the water.

The pump must never be operated when dry.
