Problem
Possible solutions / tips
The hob cannot be
switched on; the display
is blank.
The power supply has been interrupted. Check the fuse for the stove
in the fuse box in the apartment. In case of doubt, connect our Ser-
vice Centre see „Our Customer Service“ on page GB-24).
The sensors do not re-
act.
The child safety device is switched on. Switch the child safety device
off see „Deactivating the child safety device“ on page GB-15).
The sensors respond
poorly.
A film of water is covering the sensor, or you did not touch the sensors
with your entire fingertip. Clean and dry the sensor field, and always
touch the sensor with the entire fingertip and not just the very end of
the finger.
Fissures or cracks in the
hob.
WARNING!
Risk of short circuiting and electric shock!
The appliance operates with dangerous voltages.

Disconnect the appliance from the power supply immediately
(turn off or unscrew fuses)!

The cookware makes
a crackling or whirring
noise.
These noises arise due to the design of the induction cookware and
do not indicate a defect.
The cookware emits a
whistling sound when on
a high heat setting.
These noises arise due to the design of the induction cookware and
do not indicate a defect. If you reduce the heat setting, these noises
should stop.
Fan noise
The hob is equipped with a fan, which switches on automatically
when one of the cooking zones is activated and continues to run for
some time after the hob has been switched off. Do not turn off the
power supply to the hob while the fan is running.
The cookware does not
heat up and the mes-
sage ‘ ’ appears on the
display.
The induction hobs do not recognise the cookware because it is not
suitable for induction hobs. Select suitable cookware see „The right
cookware“ on page GB-10).
The induction hob does not recognise the cookware because it is too
small for the selected cooking zone or because it is not centred on
the cooking zone.
The hob switches off
unexpectedly. You will
hear a signal, and an
error message (usually
a blinking timer display)
will appear in the sensor
field.
Technical error. Make a note of the error message on the sensor field,
disconnect the hob from the power supply and contact our Customer
Service see „Our Customer Service“ on page GB-24).
