Lay the mains cord so that it does not
pose a tripping hazard.
■
Keep the appliance, mains plug and
mains cord away from naked fl ames
and hot surfaces.
■
Do not kink or pinch the mains cord
or lay it over sharp edges. This can re-
sult in a break in the cable.
■
If the mains cord of the appliance is
damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, through customer ser-
vice or by a qualifi ed specialist.
■
Do not put any objects in or through
the housing openings, and also make
sure that children cannot insert any
objects into them.
■
When unplugging at the mains, al-
ways pull on the mains plug itself and
not the mains cord.
■
Never touch the mains plug with wet
hands.
■
Never immerse the mains cord or
plug in water or any other liquids.
■
In the event of any defects, or when
cleaning and servicing, please un-
plug the mains plug.
■
Inspections and repairs to the appli-
ance may only be carried out by au-
thorised specialists, e.g., our Service
department see Service“ on page
GB-30). Carrying out repairs to the ap-
pliance yourself could result in dam-
age to property or personal injury
and will invalidate any liability or war-
ranty claims. Never try to repair a de-
fective or suspected defective appli-
ance yourself.

Only parts corresponding to the orig-
inal appliance specifi cations may be
used for repairs. This appliance con-
tains electrical and mechanical parts
which are essential for protection
against potential sources of danger.
Microwave hazard!
Microwaves can be emitted if the door
is insuffi
ciently sealed when closed. Un-
der such circumstances, the device may
not be used.

In particular, please ensure that the
door seals and any sealing surfaces in
contact with other parts are clean.
■
Do not operate the device when the
door is broken or damaged or the
viewing window, the door lock, the
hinges or the cooking chamber door
seals are defective, or if the door can-
not be closed for any other reason.
Any such repairs may only be under-
taken by a qualifi ed professional.
■
It is hazardous for anyone – with the
exception of a qualifi ed professional
– to undertake any form of servicing
or repair work which necessitates the
removal of the cover, which is there to
protect against radiation as a result of
microwave energy being emitted.
Danger of explosion!
The inappropriate use of the device can
lead to damage or cause an explosion.

Never place a mixture of water and
oil or fat into the device. This can ex-
plode.
Health hazard!
The inappropriate use of this device can
lead to damage to your health.
■
Please clean the device regularly, and
remove any traces of food leftovers
immediately.
