Heating water
WARNING
Risk of scalding!
If the kettle is overfi lled or
the lid is open, hot water
can spurt out during boiling.
This can lead to scalding.
■
Do not fi ll the kettle above
the MAX mark (1,7 L).
■
Ensure that the lid is closed
during operation.
1. Unwind or wind the mains
connection cable to the re-
quired length and then insert
the mains plug into a properly
installed and easily accessible
earthed socket.
2. Place the filled kettle on the
base.
A signal tone sounds when con-
tact has been made with the
mains power.
The kettle is now in standby.
The display (8) shows the cur-
rent water temperature.
The pre-set ‘100 °C’ flashes in
the display (7).
3. Press the START-CANCEL
button (5).
The indicator LED will light up,
and heating will begin. The
following is shown in the dis-
play (7):
– the current water tempera-
ture,
– the temperatures which can
be set 100 °C, 90 °C, 60 °C
and 40 °C. 100 °C is the pre-
set water temperature. The
100 °C indicator will flash.
4. Select the required water
temperature with the / but-
tons (4).
The selected temperature indi-
cator will flash, while the others
will light up permanently.
5. Option 1 “Keep Warm”:
When you have set the re-
quired water temperature,
press the KEEP WARM but-
ton (6). Only the set water
temperature will now illuminate
in the display (7). Heating will
begin.
A signal tone will sound when
the set water temperature is
reached. The temperature will
now be maintained for up to
four hours. After four hours,
the signal tone will sound three
times in a row and all indica-
tors will go out. The kettle is
now in standby.
