Never reach in to retrieve
an electrical appliance if
it has fallen into water. In
such a case, immediately
unplug the mains plug from
the socket.
CAUTION
Risk of scalding/burns!
Hot steam is emitted during
use.

Hot steam may escape
when fresh water is added
shortly after a boiling cy-
cle. Therefore, allow a cool-
down period of approx. 30
seconds after each boil.
■
Avoid any contact with the
hot steam. Particular cau-
tion is required
–
during boiling,
–
when refilling the kettle
and
–
when the lid is open.
■
Do not open the lid during
operation.
■
Handle hot water with cau-
tion.
If the kettle is overfi lled, hot
water can spurt out during
boiling.
■
Do not fi ll the kettle above
the MAX mark.
If the appliance falls over,
contact with hot water can
lead to scalding.
■
Do not allow the mains
connection cable to hang
over the edge of the work-
top on which the appliance
is standing.
■
Do not place the kettle on
the edge of the worktop.
Health hazard!
Improper use of the appli-
ance can lead to damage to
health.
■
Always throw away the fi rst
two batches of boiled wa-
ter from a new kettle for hy-
giene reasons.
