4. HOW TO OPERATE
a) Cord Release
Turn the upper cord release for easy cord removal (fig. 4/1). Use the handy cord clip
located on the back just below the handle. This will allow you to secure any excess
cord and reduce any unnecessary risk while operating the appliance. (fig. 4/1.1)
b) Carpet Height Adjuster
The handle needs to be in the upright and locked position. Turn the carpet height
adjuster knob to match the surface being cleaned as described around the knob
(fig. 4/2). The dial will move freely and the vacuum height will automatically adjust
once the handle release pedal is pushed and the handle is lowered. for tile or a
carpet pile < ½” use a setting of 1. for ½” pile carpets use a setting of 2 to 4 and for
carpets with a pile height of > 1” use a setting of 5.
NOTICE: This appliance has a constantly rotating brushroll which, when left in contact with
linoleum, parquet and other hard floors can damage the floor surface.
Raise the height of the
brushroll to the highest setting, #5. This can be done by adjusting the carpet height adjustor dial
on the front of the vacuum. do this each time when using this vacuum on linoleum, parquet and
hard flooring. The manufacturer is not liable for damages to these surfaces if the customer fails
to follow this instruction.
IMPORTANT: Always position the vacuum handle in a upright and locked position prior to
turning the carpet height adjuster. The vacuum height will adjust once the handle release
pedal is pushed and the handle is lowered.
