5.2. Stopping

To turn the LAMP off, simply turn the OPERATE Switch to the OFF position. If the lamp will not be used for

some time, the AC supply can be turned off.

To minimize wear on the ignition components, it is best to avoid frequently starting and stopping the lamp. It

is recommended to run the lamp continuously if long off-periods are not required.

5.3. Monochromator Interface

The monochromator is controlled through its USB interface. A simple Windows application is available to

communicate with the monochromator from a host PC, and control the basic functions of the instrument.

To use the application:

1. Download the file "MH1034_Installer-Package_Aug-24-2016.zip" and extract the files to a new folder.

2. Run "MH1034.exe" and follow the prompts to install the application.

3. Connect the monochromator to the host PC USB port.

4. Run "MH1034App.exe" to launch the application.

The Windows .dll installed by the installer can also be used to write custom control software. Refer to the

document "MH1034 Mono DLL Description Jul-28-2016.pdf" for a description of the software interface.

6. Service Requirements

There are no user-serviceable parts inside the TLS-EQ-77H. For any problems encountered during

operation, please contact Energetiq Technology for assistance.

If there is a component failure, do not attempt to open the Controller or Lamp enclosure of the TLS-

EQ-77H.

Any service to the system must be performed only by factory authorized and trained technicians. To avoid

injury, under no circumstances should the user open or modify the Lamp or Controller enclosure.

7. Maintenance and Troubleshooting Guide

7.1. Optical Alignment

In some cases, it may be necessary to re-align the internal optics. Use the following procedure for alignment.

7.1.1 Objective

Provide instructions for alignment of the TLS-EQ77H system.

7.1.2 Safety Warnings and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Follow all applicable safety procedures. Use proper PPE as required.
