Intended use
The heating pad is designed for private use only as
described in this manual and intended exclusively
for animals, not for people. It may only be used in
dry indoor areas.
The item is not a children's toy.
Only use the item as described in these instructions
for use. Any other use is considered improper and
may result in damage to property or even personal
injury.
The heating pad is not a medical device and is not
intended for therapeutic purposes.
The manufacturer or dealer assumes no liability for
damage caused by improper or incorrect use.
Safety
DANGER for children
Keep small parts, packaging bag and foils away
from children. Danger of suffocation!
The item is not a children's toy. Keep children away
from it or point it out to children.
WARNING - Shock hazard
Make sure that the mains voltage matches the
specifications on the name plate of the control unit
before plugging in the heating pad.
The mains socket that the heating pad is to be
plugged into should be easily accessible so that the
heating pad can be quickly unplugged in the event
of a fault.
Discontinue use of the heating pad if it shows
visible signs of damage or if the power cord or
power plug is defective or if the heating pad is
damp.
If the power cord of the device is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer
service department, or by a qualified professional
person in order to avoid hazards. Do not open the
housing of the control unit yourself - it must only
be done by qualified service professionals in order
to avoid hazards. Contact a specialist workshop.
No liability is assumed and any warranty claims
are excluded in case of self-repair, improper
connection or incorrect use of the product.
The heating pad is not intended to be operated by
means of an external timer or a separate remote
control.
The heating pad may only be used with the
included control unit (QDK21-DY-24).
The heating pad, power cord and power plug must
be kept clear of naked flames and hot surfaces.
Never kink the power cord or leave it hanging over
sharp edges.
Make sure that children do not pierce or poke the
heating pad with any objects.
The control unit and power cord must not be
exposed to moisture, immersed in water or other
liquids.
WARNING: Risk of injury!
Never position the power cord in a way that creates
a tripping hazard. The use of an extension cord
should be avoided. Do not position the power cord
and control unit in a way that creates a tripping or
strangulation hazard for people or animals.
NOTE - Property damage
Only use the heating pad when you are in the
immediate vicinity. Never leave the heating pad
unattended when in use.
Do not attempt to turn on the heating pad when it
is folded or pushed together.
If the heating pad is damp, e.g. after cleaning,
always allow sufficient time for it to dry out before
turning it on.
The heating pad, control unit and power cord must
be checked for any signs of wear or damage on a
regular basis. Especially check the power cord and
bite block for any damage. If you detect any visible
signs of damage or that the heating pad has been
used improperly, have it checked by a specialist
workshop before using it again.
After cleaning, allow the heating pad to cool down
completely before folding it up and storing it, and
always keep it in a dry place.
Do not store any objects on the heating pad and
follow the instructions under “Storage”.
