Fan, control
Pin position 7 and 13 are not assigned, if desired function cables must be pinned themselves. Cable type:
10 core, awg20
Pin: #770520-1 Farnell - 2101973 TE Connectivity AMPSEAL 16-24
Depending on the application, a function can be omitted (e.g. 34 - fan), but the desired function can be
pinned in (e.g. battery temp.).
4.4 Motor control
The HST-350 supports different modes for motor control. The desired mode can be set via the GUI (graphi
-
cal user interface).
Block commutation (BLDC)
In BLDC mode the motor is driven by 2 phases, the third phase is used to determine the commutation time.
This mode is standard for most brushless controllers.
Here you can additionally choose whether you want operation with or without Hall sensors. A hybrid mode
is also available, i.e. the controller uses the Hall sensors only for start-up and then automatically switches to
sensorless operation.
4-quadrant operation
The motor can be operated both forward and backward. The user can individually program the acceleration
ramps and also the recuperation current (current returned to the system).
• Unidirectional (not reverse) without recuperation/free wheeling
• Unidirectional (not reverse) with recuperation/active braking
• Bidirectional (reverse mode possible) without recuperation/freewheeling
• Bidirectional (reverse mode possible) with recuperation/active braking
