Standard Operations

Select one of the options under

Standby mode

to set the

length of the idle period that can elapse before the instrument
switches to the Standby mode when running on battery power.

Note:

In standby mode, the backlighting of the screen is switched off.

Touching the display causes the lighting to switch on again.

Select one of the options under

Auto off

to set the length of the

idle period that can elapse before the instrument automatically
switches off when running on battery power.

Note:

After the instrument switches itself off automatically, you have to

press the push-button switch on the back of the instrument to start it
again.
