Diagnosing Pluggable Transceivers
The system outputs alarm information for you to diagnose and troubleshoot faults of pluggable
transceivers. Optical transceivers customized by H3C also support the digital diagnosis function, which
monitors the key parameters of a transceiver, such as temperature, voltage, laser bias current, TX
power, and RX power. When these parameters are abnormal, you can take corresponding measures to
prevent transceiver faults.
Follow these steps to diagnose pluggable transceivers:

Configuring USB Device Port
Basic Functions of USB Device Port
Universal serial bus (USB) is now the most popular peripheral interface bus, which is easy to use and
provides high reliability and optimized performances. The USB device port of an H3C SR6600 supports
USB 2.0 specifications. The SR6600 can be connected with a host through a standard detachable cable.
The host registers the internal CF card of the SR6600 as an USB mass storage medium on its Windows
operating system. After the host recognizes the router as an USB mass storage medium, you can
access the internal CF card quickly and perform file operations on it.

USB Connectors and Cables
USB protocols specify two types of connectors: Standard-A, and Standard-B.
z
Standard-A connector: The Standard-A connector connects USB devices directly to a host or to the
downstream port of a hub.
z
Standard-B connector: The Standard-B connector allows device vendors to provide a standard
detachable cable to realize the switch-over between the two types of connectors.
Both types of connectors provide plugs and receptacles:
