Connecting an optical fiber to a multi-chassis fabric module

A multi-chassis fabric module has a built-in transceiver module in each cluster port. You can connect
an optical fiber with an MTP connector to a cluster port on the multi-chassis fabric module directly.

To connect an optical fiber to a cluster port on a multi-chassis fabric module:

Wear an ESD wrist strap and make sure the wrist strap is reliably grounded.

Remove the dust plug from the target cluster port on the multi-chassis fabric module.

Remove the dust cap from the fiber connector.
