The following information is one
example
of how to set up a specific router. A PC with a web browser is
required to change the setting of the router. Use the router connected to the PC. The setup screen displays
after entering the correct username and password. For example purposes, the GV-DSR-500 is referenced
below.
The GV-DSR-500 requires that the administrator first create custom services. This process defines the
ports to use within a firewall rule. See the example below for more information.
After defining the custom services (ports), the administrator creates firewall rules to use as a pathway of
communication to a specific internal address (port forwarding). For more details on this process, see the
example below.
