Remote Access Part I
LAN access/ Local access
To gain remote access to your DVR on your computer you will first have to plug your DVR into
your router using an Ethernet network cable.
1. Now you must go into the
Main Menu
on the DVR and select the
Network Settings
menu.
2. Now in the
Network Settings menu
you will find a
DHCP tick box
in the top left hand
corner, make sure this is ticked then press
Save
.
3. You should now see the
default IP address
has changed.
4. Take note of the
IP address
and type it into an
Internet browser
address bar at the
top of the screen (make sure you add :81 to the end)
on a computer that is
connected to the same router as the DVR.
5. You will be presented with the screen
below.
You will be prompted to download
WebControl.exe
before you can go any further. After installation you will need to restart
your browser.
