the Generator
Starting the Engine
WARNING! Never start or stop
engine with electrical devices
plugged into the receptacles and
devices turned on.
• Turn fuel valve to “ON” position.
• Turn key ignition switch to “ON” and then to
“START”.release once engine has started
Unplug all electrical loads from the unit’s
receptacles before starting the engine.
Make sure the unit is in a level position.
• Turn choke to “ON” position.
NOTE: It may not be necessary to
use the choke if the engine has been
shut down and is warm.
NOTE: If engine does not start
up within 3 to 4 seconds, release
key ignition and wait for a few
seconds before trying again to avoid
overheating the starting motor.
• Once started, move the choke lever slowly
completely over to the “ON” position.
During the first startup of the machine, the
battery’s charge may be low if stored for too
long. If the charge is not sufficient, start the
generator manually with the recoil start
