DVD/VCR to amplifier connections
Once you have connected your DVD/VCR player
to your TV you may chose to connect your
DVD/VCR to an amplifier using either of the two
options illustrated below:
If your amplifier has a coaxial digital input, the
first choice is by coaxial digital cable (1)
(not
supplied) – connect one end to the coaxial
digital audio output (coloured orange) on your
DVD/VCR player and the other end to the
coaxial digital audio input on your amplifier.
The other choice is with two phono leads (2)
(not supplied) – connect a pair of phono leads to
the AUDIO OUTPUT sockets on the back of
your DVD/VCR (coloured red and white).
Connect the other ends to a suitable set of audio
input sockets on your amplifier (these may be
called AUX, LINE IN or INPUT etc. – consult
your amplifier’s instruction book for details).
Make sure that left matches left and right
matches right.
DVD/VCR to camcorder connection
You can connect your DVD/VCR to a compatible
camcorder. To do this, connect three phono
leads
(not supplied) to the correctly coloured
inputs on the front of your DVD/VCR. Connect
the other end of the phono leads to the
corresponding outputs of your camcorder
(consult your camcorder’s IB for details).
Select A3 to view front AV sockets.
