installed on the toolbar coupling before leveling the
planter.
Center Frame Leveling Left-to-Right
1. Hitch the planter to a suitable tractor.
2. Activate the fold hydraulics. Fully unfold the
planter.
3. Set the tractor hydraulic fold circuit to “Neutral”.
4. Insert the wing lock pins on the toolbar coupling.
5. Adjust the tractor hitch so that the center section
toolbar is level. Use a level to check.
6. Check wing for level at the top of the wing toolbar.
Center Frame Leveling Front-to-Back
The planter is designed to operate with the main tool
bar at 26 inches (66 cm) above the planting surface.
1. Remove cylinder locks from lift assist and stow
locks, if equipped.
2. Completely lower the hitch to planting position, or
if configured with lift assist, fully lower the rear of
the planter using hydraulics.
3. Raise the hitch until the toolbar is 26 inches (66
cm) above the planting surface or peaks of
planting bed.
4. Set the tractor 3-point lever stop to set the planter
height at 26 inches (66 cm).
If leveling from peaks of planting bed, it will
necessary to use customer provisioned
blocks to raise the down-stop position of the
lift assist cylinders.
5. Place a carpenter’s level on a side tube of the
center frame. Have an assistant stand a safe
distance away and observe the carpenter’s level.
6. With the hitch lowered to the 26 inches (66 cm)
stop, incrementally raise the lift assist until the
frame is level.
7. Ensure the front tool bar is at 26 inches (66 am)
above planting surface. If not, adjust stop and
repeat until the frame is level.
8. Measure the length of exposed rod on the lift
assist cylinder. Customer must provision two sets
of blocks in the measured length.
9. Fully raise the lift assist and insert the two sets of
customer provisioned blocks.
Wing Leveling
1. Ensure the wing lock pins are installed on the
toolbar coupling, and center frame leveling left-to-
right and front-to-back have been completed.
2. Loosen the jam nut (1) at the upper link arm
adjuster.
3. Remove bolt (2) and rotate lock plate (3) clear of
adjustment nut (4).
4. Rotate the adjustment nut (4) until the wing is
level. Check with level.
5. Secure the jam nut (1).
6. Install the lock plate (3) with bolt (2).
7. Repeat steps for other wing.
