Chapter 5   Removing and replacing FRUs

Fan assembly removal

Additional tools needed:

• #2 Phillips screwdriver

To remove the fan assembly, first remove the front bezel, then proceed as illustrated.

CAUTION: Do not remove fan assembly while power is on. The 
standby button is frequently bumped during this procedure and if 
powered, circuits and fans are activated, which can cause damage.
